Fun, yes, that is the main goal of the Masters, right after safety, of course. And, since we don’t publish the scores at the Masters, the pressure to shoot well is removed. Yes, many of those taking part in the Masters are highly competitive and want to shoot their best. But with no one knowing what they really shot, they can actually relax and enjoy shooting at a range. In addition, when was the last time you went to a “shooting event” that included an evening reception in a cave and a ’50s Bash? To complete the event, the Masters raised $47,000 for NSSF’s First Shots, bringing the amount we’ve donated to the program during the past four events to $141,000. We also raised $7,000 this year for USA Shooting. Yes, it was a fantastic event. We are honored that so many of you joined us on the firing line at this year’s Masters. We owe a great deal of thanks to the Noble and Humble families of the Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City, Ky.
