Industry news Taurus Announces Expansion T aurus International Manufacturing has finalized the purchase of a multi-acre property adjoining its current facilities that includes a modern manufacturing and distribution building. The new facility will add 30-percent more capacity to Taurus’ current factory, according to company officials. “We are clearly in the midst of revitalization here at Taurus, and are capitalizing on all growth opportunities,” said Mark Kresser, Taurus president and CEO. Taurus also announces its new Canadian Warranty Center, Location Snap Shots Inc., headquartered in Sainte-Martine, Quebec. The center opens this month. “Taurus has recruited a team of customer-focused, forward-thinking individuals to elevate the company to a new level of commitment with its industry partners and consumers,” Kresser said. Visit www.taurususa.com. Starline Brass Expands Facilities tarline Brass is expanding its Sedalia, Mo., plant to accommodate additional production and inventory for the growing reloading community. The 15,000-square-foot facility will increase the company’s manufacturing capacity by 50 percent. “We have seen an incredible surge in demand for our brass over the past several years,” said Robert Hayden Jr., Starline general manager. “The most popular calibers never see the inside of our inventory bins because they are out the door almost as fast as they come off the line.” S Starline was on track to complete the expansion project by Thanksgiving in order to handle the high volume of orders they traditionally receive in the first few months of a new year.
