E Midas Touch From Browning ven long guns are being reduced to accommodate smallframed women hunters and youth shooters. Browning just rolled out a full line of compact and lighter weight long guns — the Micro Midas. The X-Bolt Micro Midas rifle has a steel receiver and 20" barrel with a low-luster blued finish. The stock is checkered walnut with a satin finish. Like other X-Bolt models, the Micro Midas has a 60-degree bolt lift, adjustable Feather Trigger, detachable rotary magazine, top tang safety and bolt unlock button. Each rifle also has sling swivel studs installed, and an Inflex Technology recoil pad. The X-Bolt Micro Midas has a length of pull of 12 1/2". The overall length is 38 1/8" and the rifle weighs just over 6 lbs. For 2011, the X-Bolt Micro Midas is available in four popular cali- bers: .22-250 Rem., .243 Win., 7mm-08 Rem. and .308 Win. The Browning Citori over/under is also available as the Citori Micro Midas Satin Hunter. It is available in 12- and 20-gauge models, with a satin-finished walnut stock cut shorter for easier shouldering. The length of pull is only 13". The reduced length of pull makes the gun easier to shoulder and quick to point. Because the gun weighs a bit over 6 lbs., women will find it much less fatiguing to carry in the field. Standard Citori features include all-steel deeply blued receiver and barrels, single selective trigger and hammer ejectors with toptang barrel selector/safety. The Citori Micro Midas comes with three Invector-Plus choke tubes, and an ivory front bead sight. All models are chambered for 3" shells. Barrel lengths of 24" and 26" are available in both 20- and 12-gauge. Additionally, many women are sure to value the recoil pad fit to the 12-gauge models. Visit www.shootingindustry.com/browning. Browning’s Micro Midas line features a scaled-down version of the popular Citori Satin Hunter over/under in both 12- and 20-gauge. 22 JUNE 2011 Read SI DIGITAL www.shootingindustry.com
