Industry news lock donated $115,000 to four NRA organizations during the association’s 2011 annual meeting in Pittsburg, Pa., April 29-May 1. “There are millions of NRA members and thousands of certified NRA firearms instructors who are continually protecting our Second Amendment rights and promoting firearms safety. It’s important for us at Glock Inc. to recognize that commitment by supporting the NRA and its affiliate organizations,” said Gary Fletcher, Glock vice president of sales and marketing. For the second consecutive year, Glock donated $50,000 to the NRA. In addition, Glock presented a $50,000 check to the NRA Whittington Center, the third consecutive year the company has contributed to the center. This marks the ninth consecutive year the company has financially supported the camp, where young men and women have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of pistol, rifle and shotgun shooting in a positive environment. Finally, Glock donated 30 pistols to the NRA Law Enforcement Division. This is the fourth consecutive year the company has made a donation to the annual shooting competition, which offers law enforcement officers from around the globe an opportunity to test their shooting skills.
