Brownells Holds Gunsmith Career Fair rownells’ Third Annual Gunsmith Career Fair, held in April in Altoona, Iowa, received high marks by attendees. “As a long-time enthusiast and law-enforcement armorer, but new gunsmith, I had the opportunity to develop contacts and resources that I hope will last for many years to come. This was my first visit, but will not be my last,” said Roger Byrd, Murray State College gunsmithing student. “I was pleasantly surprised. It was the most professional career fair I’ve ever attended. I’m planning on attending next year,” said Jerry Stevens, Nu-Line Guns. In addition to looking for jobs, many attendees attended seminars on “Web Marketing” by the Brownells E-Commerce Team; “Working With Law Enforcement Customers” by Roy Huntington, publisher, FMG Consumer and L.E. Publications; and “Creating A Business That Actually Works” with Bob Clements. They also met with a team from the ATF. Brownells reports that several companies hired employees on the spot, while others took home resumes to review. “It’s great seeing all these bright young men and women coming into the gunsmithing industry! I was absolutely delighted to see so many experienced ’smiths who wanted to learn more and B expand their businesses,” said Frank Brownell, company CEO. The 2010 fair will be held in April in Des Moines, Iowa. For more information, visit www.gunsmithcareerfair.com. Attendees gather information at Brownells’ Third Annual Gunsmith Career Fair.
