Steyr Arms (205) 655-8299 T he Anschütz Model 1780 D FL big-bore hunting rifle is a centerfire 1780 bolt-action repeating rifle featuring a tworow, six-lug bolt mated to the cold hammer forged barrel, allowing a 60-degree bolt throw. The matte black, anodized aluminum alloy receiver is mated to the Turkish walnut stock with a hand-bedded, locking aluminum bedding block. Cartridges are fed from a detachable-box magazine, and an adjustable matchquality Anschütz trigger releases the one-piece firing pin. The Steyr Duett, the company’s first combination rifle and Duett shotgun, features a cold hammer forged, free-floated, adjustable rifle barrel situated below a 12-gauge shotgun barrel. Handcocking system ensures both barrels are ready for the next shot. The Duett features a slim stock, long, engraved side plates and gold-plated triggers. Shotgun barrel accepts 12-gauge shotshells; rifle barrel is available in .223 Rem., .243 Win., .308 Win., 7x65R, .30-06 Spr., .30R Blaser, 8x57IRS and 9.3x74R. Barrel length is 23.6 inches. Available in four versions: Standard, Elegance, Earl and Duke. The Merkel RX Helix rifle is a linear bolt-action rifle that cycles in half the length of a conventional bolt-action, and features six locking lugs on a rotary bolt head, and a fully enclosed action housing with integrated Picatinny rails. The RX Helix features a manual cocking lever on the tang and a direct trigger system. The RX Helix is available in four models — Arabesque, Wild Boar, Spirit and Deluxe — and in three action lengths.
