The RRLP (Reduced Ricochet, Limited Penetration) bullets feature a frangible, powderedmetal, copper-tin core inside a guilding metal jacket. RRLPs include a 55-gr. 5.56mm (.224") bullet designed for military-style autoloaders and other firearms with rifling twist rates of 1:9" or faster. A 140-gr. 7.62mm (.308") version is intended for tactical autoloaders and bolt-action rifles with 1:12" or faster twists. There’s also a 108-gr. (.310") RRLP for 7.62x39mm rifles. Barnes’ all-copper TAC-X rifle bullets offer controlled, double-diameter expansion, maximum penetration and full functionality at long range. They are available in 55-, 62- and 70-gr. 5.56mm (.224"); 85- and 110-gr. 6.8mm (.277"); 110-, 150- and 168-gr. .308", and 123-gr. 7.62x39mm (.310"). For law enforcement and personal defense, 100-percent copper TAC-XP pistol bullets meet the requirements of lead-free practice. They are available in .380 ACP, 9mm, .38 Spe- cial, .357 SIG, .357 Magnum, .40 S&W, .45 GAP and .45 ACP. TAC-LR Long Range bullets offer a high-ballistic coefficient, precise tolerances and are available in .50 BMG. For 2009, Barnes adds the .50 Spit-Fire T-EZ muzzleloader bullet to its hunting line. The flat-base copper bullet (250- and 29-gr.) retains tight gas seals and the polymer tip boosts ballistic coefficient. In its Varmint Grenade lineup, Barnes adds 26-gr. bullets for the .204 Ruger, 30-gr. .224" bullets for the .22 Hornet, and 36gr. .224" bullets and 50-gr. .224" bullets for rifles with 1:10 or faster twists. There is also a 62-gr. .243" Varmint Grenade for 6mm rifles.
