Smith adds a thumb-safety version — full-size and compact models — of the M&P 9 (.9mm), M&P 40 (.40 S&W) and M&P 357 (.357 Auto). Also new to the M&P pistol line is the M&P9c and the M&P40c, featuring Crimson Trace Lasergrips. S&W returns the Model 438 Bodyguard, chambered in .38 S&W Special, to its line. Model 357 In its Night Guard Series, Smith adds Night Guard the Model 357, chambered in .41 Magnum, and the Model 310, chambered in 10mm/.40 S&W. The revolvers, with 2 1/2" or 2 3/4" barrels, feature a matte-black, Scandium frame, black stainless PVD (physical vapor deposition) cylinder and are equipped with a Pachmayr Compac Custom grip, XS 24/7 Standard Dot Tritium front sight Pro Series and the new Cylinder & Slide Extreme Model 1911 Duty fixed rear sight.
