EXTRA T he Para Super Hawgs, available in 1911 single-stack and Para High Capacity frames, feature 6" integral ramp match-grade barrels, Para’s exclusive Fiber Optic front sights and adjustable rear sights. Both models have a stainless steel, satin finish and the frontstraps are checkered 30 lines-perinch. The single-stack model comes with two PXT eight-round magazines and double-diamond checkered Cocobolo stocks. The High Capacity model comes with two 14-round magazines (10-round available where restricted) and slim black polymer stocks. Both pistols are 9 1/2" long. The single stack weighs 40 oz.; the high capacity 41 oz. The Para SSP, with Covert Black Para Kote finish, and the P14-45, in Covert Black, feature 5" match-grade, stainless steel integral ramps, three-white dot fixed sights and come with two magazines. The stocks on the Para SSP are checkered tactical non-slip rubber. The P14-45 comes with ultra slim, polymer-checkered stocks. The New PDA (Personal Defense Assistant) in 9mm Luger is designed to fit the widest range of hands. The compact pistol holds eight rounds and features a 3" match-grade, stainless steel integral ramped barrel and a fiber optic front sight. It measures 6.4" overall and weighs 24 oz. Para is also introducing the PDA in .45 ACP. The lightweight, ultra-compact pistol features a sterling-finished stainless steel slide over a Covert Black Alloy frame, with a frontstrap checkered at 30 lines-per-inch. The pistol also has three-dot tritium night sights, weighs 24 oz. and is 6 1/2" long. The Para 1911 Limited, built on a single-action frame, features an internal extractor with a claw that is 50-percent larger than the standard version; 5" stain- Para Super Hawg less steel, match-grade barrel; match-grade hammers and triggers; ambidextrous safety and 30 lines-per-inch checkering on the frontstrap. The pistol is finished in Para’s sterling stainless steel. Para continues its support of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) with two models in 2008. Uberti 1876 .45-60 the Centennial Rifle in commemoration of the United States’ 100th anniversary. Winchester discontinued production of the 1876 Rifle in 1898 after making 63,871 guns. True to the original, the Uberti 1876 rifle is chambered in .45-60 caliber and future chamberings will include the .4060, .45-75 and .50-95. The rifle has a 28" octagonal barrel, color-case hardened receiver and A-grade walnut for the straight stock and forend. It is 48" long and weighs 10 lbs.
