Industry news Potterfields Donate $250,000 To Mule Deer Foundation arry and Brenda Potterfield of MidwayUSA recently donated $250,000 to the Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) to support the creation of the new M.U.L.E.Y. youth shooting program. The M.U.L.E.Y. (Mindful, Understanding, Legal and Ethical Youth) program will introduce youths, ages 12-17, to shooting sports in a safe environment. The MDF has 11 events planned for 2011 so far, and is expected to reach 50,000 young shooters in the next five years. “The future of shooting, hunting and conservation efforts depends heavily on the recruitment of youth to the shooting sports.
