I received an e-mail this morning and felt it was important that I share my response with others. Customer e-mail: Brian, I just got my order today. The Concealed Carry Neck ID, according to the receipt, is $30, plus shipping. Looks like it cost about 45 cents to make. I would like to return it for a full refund. You okay with this? My response: Of course, I’m okay with refunding your money, and you are right, the Concealed Carry Neck ID probably would cost about 45 cents to make — in China. But these are made by one man, a retired police veteran of many years. Though he is in his 70s, he understands the need to supplement his meager pension, so instead of counting on the government to provide for him, he works in his backyard shop (a mentality of self-responsibility instead of entitlement). Using high-quality leather, he painstakingly makes them, by hand, right here in America! Not in China, not in some foreign country, but right here Made By Americans in America, where “building it ourselves” once meant something and made us great! Please send the Concealed Carry Neck ID back for a full refund. I’m sure China will copy it soon enough, using sub-par materials, and provide them much cheaper than I can to an America hungry for cheap products, regardless of provenance, and who do not care to look at the label and see where it is made. I strive to provide products for Americans that are made by Americans. We take pride in building our holsters by hand right here in Houston. We then sign and date them before we send them to you. The Check Six line of Para-cord cuffs and lanyards are hand-weaved by a fellow American and warrior operator. In addition, I will soon be providing a great new line of single-point slings, handmade by one of my SWAT officers here in Houston. These things won’t be the cheapest, but they will be fairly priced and, by God, they are made by Americans! For warriors, by warriors!
