Kemerling joined SRA in 2003 as a graphic designer. He received a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Niehaus came to SRA in 2006 as a public relations writer. He received his bachelor’s degree from Creighton University in Omaha. USA Shooting Hires Media/PR Manager USA Shooting (USAS) has named Mary Beth Vorwerk manager of media and public relations. Prior to joining to USAS, Vorwerk was media and public relations manager for USA Archery for more than four years. While there, she served as a United States Olympic Committee (USOC) press officer for the 2003 Pan American Games and the 2004 Olympic Games. She also previously served as media and public relations director at USA Roller Sports in Lincoln, Neb. Vorwerk holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of Iowa. of Carl Zeiss Optical Inc. He also will head marketing and strategy for the company. Prior to joining Zeiss Optical, Schumacher served as vice president of corporate strategic development for Carl Zeiss AG in Oberkochen, Germany, in addition to holding senior management positions for other companies. He holds a doctorate in optical sciences from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree from INSEAD in France. “Carl Zeiss optics are the finest in the world and we are committed to the continued strengthening of the Zeiss brand and growth of our market share here in the United States,” Schumacher said. Rob Siemers, president of Carl Zeiss Optical since April 2005, is the new vice president of sales. Blue Heron Communications Adds Team Member Blue Heron Communications has hired Kevin Jarnagin to work in media relations and special project management. Jarnagin graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in public affairs and administration and is working toward his master’s degree in public affairs. “Kevin’s outdoor knowledge and professionalism will complement Blue Heron Communications,” said Gary Giudice, president of the company. “We are thrilled to add another member to the Blue Heron family.” Swarovski Optik Hires Sales Manager Dustin Woods has joined Swarovski Optik North America Ltd. as U.S. western regional sales manager.
