Industry news Davidson’s TV Debuts Home Shopping Hunter’s Specialties Supports Research eginning July 2010, firearm consumers will be able to view on television a selection of firearms, watch as the features are explained and demonstrated, and then make a purchase. Davidson’s Inc. has partnered with Intermedia Outdoors and Barrett Productions to produce the new Gallery of Guns TV show. “The new show and the benefits it will bring to firearm consumers are really exciting,” said Bryan Tucker, Davidson’s CEO. “We are really proud to bring this innovative new selling strategy to the firearms market.” According to Davidson’s, the show will educate consumers on a wide array of firearms, and showcase the features and benefits of top-selling models. The firearms covered will be available for immediate purchase at GalleryofGuns.com. By utilizing Gun Genie, consumers can search through Davidson’s entire firearms selection, find the firearm they are looking for, and buy it from their choice of more than 3,000 Davidson’s Gold Dealers nationwide. All sales are subject to federal, state and local laws, including an FBI-NICS background check or the equivalent. The new show will air on the Sportsman Channel, beginning in July 2010, on Mondays at 6 p.m., Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. and Fridays at 4:30 p.m. (all times Eastern). It is the latest in a series of donations by Hunter’s Specialties to the breast cancer research foundation, which began in 2007 when the company began offering for sale a variety of hats featuring the Hunter’s Specialties and breast cancer awareness pink ribbon logos. One hundred percent of the profits from the sale of the hats continues to be donated to the Komen foundation. “We’re very excited about the success of the program,” said Carman Forbes, Hunter’s Specialties coCEO. “This shows the overwhelming support in the hunting community for this issue.
