Like I said earlier, I don’t know where I would be without their help.” When it comes to helping young people get started in shooting, Terry advises dealers to be patient with the kids because they may need a little coaxing. “The best way I can think of gun dealers getting young people involved is donating to local clubs,” Terry said. “Dealers probably get that all the time, but more kids can be involved if they have equipment to use and rewards to inspire them. It also works both ways because dealers also can advertise through the club. I know my 4-H club would not be as big without local supporters.” Terry hopes her Anschutz 1813 will take her to the Olympics. www.shootingindustry.com
