StanFranklin Viaemail Connor’s Cop Story In case you get a stunned silence in response to John Connor’s article (“The Guy Who Was There,” Guncrank Diaries, May/June 2015) — don’t be surprised. The article is shocking to say the least. Even by today’s criminal standards, such activities by “human beings” defy imagination. Then, to be a law-enforcement officer and having to walk into that scene in the dead of night is the stuff of nightmares. PTSD is indicated. Until this article, I wasn’t aware Connor had been a cop. I’m sure following this event, the thought went through Connor ’s mind maybe he should have become a truck driver — or anything but a cop. As usual, and maybe even more than usual, Connor’s article was excellent, if shocking. Between the electrifying subject matter and the excellent construction and presentation of the article, I guarantee no one who began reading the story was able to put it down unfinished.
